My name is Ian Walter, and I’m the owner of Purelight Electric here in Renton, WA. Before starting my own business, I gained my experience through hands-on training and attending local in-person courses. This led to me pursuing my administrators license (similar to a Master electrician). My main motivation was to provide a better life for my family while having the flexibility to be more present at home. I also saw a need for better service than what I had experienced and wanted to fill that gap.
When it comes to customer service, my goal is simple: do the job right the first time and be fair. I believe in giving customers what they truly need—not the most expensive option—because I understand how important it is to feel confident in the services you're paying for. I always think about things from a customer’s point of view and strive to offer a five-star experience from start to finish.
My favorite part of the job is the service work. I love meeting new people and having the chance to grow my skills every day. Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can outdoors, especially fly fishing or playing basketball. I’ve lived in Renton my whole life, and having roots in this community makes me even more committed to providing the best service possible to my neighbors.
